Much like growing a small town into a bustling metropolis requires immense collaboration (and incentives) between people, we’ll be working to align incentives of collective ownership via our social token $LADZ and LADZ DAO processes, to ensure that every brick laid in the building of LADZ City is value that can be captured by those within this thriving community.
The “NFT” in the Room
Before we go any further we’ll address those that have been following our growth over the past year who may have recently noticed a specific flavor of content being favored on our menu.
The original vision of LADZ was to be a multi-channel content network covering the entirety of the crypto space. That STILL remains part of our long-term vision, and we will continue to cover broad cryptocurrency, blockchain, and DeFi projects in the space.
HOWEVER over the past 12 months one thing has become abundantly clear…

It is also clear that we are uniquely positioned to be a media industry leader in an NFT market that will grow 1000x over the course of the next decade alone. Therefore we will lean heavily into the wide world of non-fungible tokens for the foreseeable future.

Season 1 - Network Growth Statistics
YouTube Subs - 6,018 -> 8,231 (+27%)
Discord Membership - 868 -> 2,042 (235%)
Twitter Followers - 2,100 -> 6,085 (290%)
By far our biggest wins from Season 1 were on the Content Creator, Production Team, and Community Initiatives fronts, all of which we believe will allow us to scale our revenue streams quickly the remainder of the year.
Content Creators
We added influencers such as Cagyjan, DJ Savage, Yung Content, and Fun Uncle to an already packed roster of network shows. Akin to models currently employed by larger media companies like Barstool Sports and 100 Thieves, in upcoming Seasons, LADZ City will look to “sign” NFT content creators to exclusive deals to increase ad revenue streams, and boost merchandise/NFT sales.
Production Team
Building out a growing roster of network shows would be futile without the assistance of additional Production Managers to facilitate the content lifeblood of our network. Tig Bo and CryptoLander deserve much praise on this front!
Partner Programs
The #GotchiLADZ partner program headed up by our LADZ member, Choyna, allowed LADZ to be exposed to curated Aavegotchi info within the confines of our City, and was a true value add for activity on the network.
It also gave us a glimpse into the enormous potential “Play-to-Earn Clubs” will have in LADZ City in the very near future…

Initiating $LADZ Season 2 (8/1/21-9/30/21)
Over the next two months we’ll look to capitalize on the phenomenal growth of the content network and community by completing the following objectives:
DAO Launch
The first and most important objective of Season 2 happens right out of the gate, with the launch of the LADZ DAO. Details regarding the entire DAO launch can be found in the last section of this blog post! Shoutout to LADZ City member, Kcaryths, who has worked tirelessly to bring this day to fruition!
Formalize Play to Earn Clubs
The maturation of Play-to-Earn gaming and the success of the #GotchiLADZ partner program in LADZ City has made it apparent that P2E Guilds/Clubs are a viable revenue stream and exciting opportunity for LADZ to collaborate together within the community. We’ll be researching a group of P2E NFT projects and begin formalizing the creation of revenue earning clubs within the City for official launch in Season 3.
Add Additional Creator
We are in talks with multiple content creators in the NFT space in hopes of bringing as many quality influencers in as possible to expand the reach of the network as well as help grow their personal brand in the space. We’ve tentatively set our goal to adding one creator during Season 2.
Establish a Larger Podcast Presence
We’ll look to diversify our network distribution outside of YouTube by adding more of our content outside of the Layer One Podcast (specifically LADZ City Radio, and Easy Street) to iTunes, Spotify, and Google.
Rebrand NFT Live
After the successful branding and launch of NFT Arcade, we’ll now be looking to improve the branding and design of the second largest show on the LADZ City Network.
WIPP Airdrop and Token Swap
We’ll be collaborating with WIPP (WorkInProgressPublishing) during the launch of their $PAGE tokens to facilitate an airdrop into the LADZ DAO Treasury as well as a $LADZ-$PAGE token swap to diversify treasury holdings.
LADZ DAO Launch
Since the very first $LADZ token was minted as an experiment a year ago we’ve been moving towards this moment. Our team has worked hard to fairly distribute $LADZ in a regulatory compliant manner and with a “community first” driven ethos. Today, with the launch of the LADZ DAO, we commit even further towards our final objective:
PROVIDE value capture to members who assist in achieving our shared mission.

So what does this all mean for LADZ?
In short, it means there is a now an established treasury owned by the community and $LADZ token holders have the exclusive right to discuss, propose, and vote on the best use of these funds to grow the network. In addition, 10% of all revenue from the LADZ City Network will funnel to the LADZ DAO Treasury until further notice.
Here’s a look at the Treasury as it stood in July, as well as a recent August payment from the LADZ City Network to the LADZ DAO Treasury.
August Payment
How will it all work?
The initial framework for the DAO will utilize three primary tools:
Gnosis Safe (Security)
The Treasury is secured by a 2 of 3 multi-signature wallet ensuring safety of the vault.
At any point that funds should need to be moved from the Treasury, 2 out of 3 wallets (belonging to 3 separate team members) are required for signature.

Discord (Debating)
At launch, we will utilize our current Discord server and creation of additional channels for discourse related to potential proposals. We will move into heavier tools as the DAO scales. The first proposals will be launched by Kcaryths as a template for our community.
Snapshot (Voting)
Utilizing Snapshot, any $LADZ Noble can create a Governance Proposal that may shape the direction of the network, at which point ALL $LADZ holders may vote to determine if the proposal passes or fails. This service is off-chain and gas-free.
Guild Grants
At launch, Grants and Bounties will be the primary initiatives driving improvements within the community. A monthly grant allotment from the LADZ DAO Treasury will go towards established “Guilds” dedicated to improving the network in unique ways. These Guilds will have “Leads” who report on a weekly or monthly basis to the DAO to maintain consistent funding.

Bounties
The need to execute on smaller, more light weight objectives necessitates the existence of Bounties. These Bounties may be created by the DAO and listed in job board fashion (Coinvise) or they can also be Applied for on an individual basis.

Conclusion
In the fast paced world of cryptocurrency and NFTs, it’s easy to get caught up in the minute to minute moments that somehow stack themselves into a full day before you can ask “what the hell week is it again?”. You do your best to digest the firehose of new and exciting things happening in the space, only to be hopelessly overwhelmed… resigned to try it all again the next day.
It’s moments like these, at the end of a long and windy trail of text away from all the Twitter chatter, that I truly get to reflect on what a freaking journey this has been. How I never could have imagined the people I’d meet, or the things we’d do together. How LADZ City has grown past the point of my wildest expectations, and the fact that we’re STILL only halfway up the mountain!
At this risk of getting too choked up, I’ll finish out by saying I can’t wait to dive into Season 2, the DAO, and the remainder of the year! Thank you to everyone who has a been a part of the journey of LADZ City!
